DJ Susan—also known as musician and artist Becky Sui Zhen—is ever searching for voices that sound like the ones she hears in her head. Her everyday soundtrack includes German disco/world-music project Saâda Bonaire, Japanese pop duo Dip in the Pool and French–Belgian electronic dream-pop group Antena. But when there’s no music to listen to, DJ Susan makes her own world of sound. Her eclectic DJ sets range from Balearic pop and ’80s bossa nova to eastern-European lounge and soft-disco rock.
