Superstar (Esther Edquist – keys & vocals; Kieran Hegarty – guitars) formed in 2007 and spent a few languid years creating strange, wobbly improvised instrumentals using trumpets, synthesizers, looped guitars and tapes. After several cassette releases & shows across Australia, Superstar pursued their shared love of forgotten soft rock gems & VU ballads, resulting in the slow-motion, floating pop dirges of 2013’s “A Toast To…” LP.
