Marnie Edmiston is a visual artist based in Melbourne. Her practice is situated within an overlap of language, text and image. She is interested in perpetual cycles of looking and re-looking, of what it is to experience the world as a subject and re-present those experiences. Her practice engages with the unheimlich, shifting meanings, aesthetics, the absurd, humour, incident and accident. Marnie completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) at the Queensland University of Technology in 2012. She has had solo exhibitions at Metro Arts (Brisbane) and Conduit Arts (Melbourne), and has been included in group shows at Ryan Renshaw Gallery (Brisbane) and PICA (Perth).
