Westside Circus is one of Melbourne’s leading community arts companies, offering a range of classes, projects and performances from its base in Brunswick. First established in 1996, Westside has since partnered with national foundations, funding bodies, local councils, schools and businesses to deliver fun and engaging programs that encourage young people from diverse backgrounds to discover new skills, develop self-expression and enjoy quality artistic experiences. In 2014, its Mixability program has offered accessible physical theatre workshops; it has paired with Truganina South Primary School through Arts Victoria’s Extended School Residencies program; and its Youth Troupe has performed at festivals and events across the city.
