Natalie King

Natalie King is Senior Research Fellow at Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne, and is MPavilion’s senior curator, where she is overseeing the One Night Stand series of interventions and MRelay finale of talks. She has worked on exhibitions for numerous museums including the Singapore Art Museum; the National Museum of Art, Osaka; Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography; and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney.

Natalie is co-editor of the anthology Art in the Asia Pacific: Intimate publics, published by Routledge (2014), and editor/curator of Up Close: Carol Jerrems with Larry Clark, Nan Goldin and William Yang, through Heide Museum of Modern Art. She has conducted interviews with Ai Wei Wei, Joseph Kosuth, Massimiliano Gioni, Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev, Tacita Dean, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Bill Henson, Jitish Kallat, Hou Hanru and Cai Guo-Qiang, among many others. She is co-curator with Djon Mundine of TarraWarra Biennial: Whisper in my mask (2014) and the 13th International Photo Festival at the Dong Gang Museum of Photography, Korea.
