Justin Shoulder is an interdisciplinary artist who creates and disseminates contemporary mytho-poetics. These stories are realised in the construction of full-body, highly sculptural avatars that he calls Fantastic Creatures. Each avatar possesses its own gestural physicality and movement language, which is expressed in live performance, video and photographic works.

Justin has worked nationally and internationally in club, theatre and gallery contexts. He is co-director of arts collective the Glitter Militia, an amorphous group of visual artists, designers and performers gathered by a shared queer politic.
