Pamela Golbin—Chief Curator, 20th and 21st Centuries Fashion and Textile Collection, Les Arts Décoratifs—will present a public lecture on her current exhibition, Fashion Icons at the Art Gallery of South Australia. Fashion Icons presents 100 key couture garments that document the history of fashion over the past eight decades and includes the work of Balenciaga, Chanel, Comme des Garçons, Dolce & Gabanna, Givenchy, Lagerfeld, McQueen, Mugler, Gaultier and Lacroix. The exhibition (25 October 2014 – 15 February 2015) has been organised by Musee des Arts Decoratifs, Paris in association with Arts Exhibitions Australia and the Art Gallery of South Australia. The lecture will be introduced by journalist Rachelle Unreich and is presented by the Naomi Milgrom Foundation in association with RMIT Design Hub and RMIT School of Fashion & Textiles.
