The Staple Store

Raised by a chef father and caterer mother, among herb gardens, fruit trees and vegetable patches, clinical naturopath Catie Gett has always loved fresh local produce, but as an adult she began to wonder why ‘health food’ had become such a premium industry. So, in May 2012 she opened The Staple Store, a small retail business focused on local, sustainable, organic and biodynamic food products. The Staple Store takes wholefood health back to basics, teaching customers about the humanitarian and environmental impact of their food choices, and advocating “backyard super foods”. In 2014, Catie opened A Staple Space in Melbourne’s CBD—it’s a clinic that promotes sustainable and preventative healthcare through nutrition.
