Laila performs as a DJ, an event organiser of the Day Care, Food Court and Girls Club parties, and a musician in the outfit Perfume Production. As a DJ, she’s played coveted events in Melbourne and Sydney, from iconic parties such as Bamboo Musik and Animals Dancing to launches and openings at ACMI, NGV and Carriageworks. She’s also found herself in hot demand to produce music compilations and mixes for publications and designers including Max Mara, Pet Shop Girls and Lucy Folk. Currently editor-at-large of cultural journal The Blackmail, she’s also a regular contributor to a number of publications including Oyster and Doingbird Magazine.
