Jill Garner

Jill Garner is the acting Victorian Government Architect and co-founder of Garner Davis Architects, a St Kilda based architecture studio. In 1995, Garner Davis won the international design competition for the Wagga Wagga Civic Centre. Garner Davis continue to demonstrate their architectural credentials through considered, articulate and timeless public buildings and private works.

Jill has taught at RMIT and Melbourne Universities in design, architectural history and contemporary theory. She is a regular contributor to architectural events, awards juries, publications and journals, seminars and local and interstate lectures.  Jill has represented the architectural profession as an advocate for the importance of architectural design and innovation in numerous forums. Her appointment as Associate Victorian Government Architect has seen her lead numerous Victorian Design Review Panels, and acting as a government representative on design competitions and public engagements.  She is currently the Acting Victorian Government Architect continues this role in a significant public forum.
